Year end holiday is around the corner. In fact, this is a big road block for people who is on their journey to lose weight. There are a lot of opportunities for extra eating and drinking during this holiday season. Besides that, exercise is often skipped due to the busy schedule in this season. This is why it is a very high potential for people to gain back the unwelcome pounds in this period of time.

It is ok to miss a day at the gym and also take the extra foods and drinks. But you must have a plan for you to do so. At least you must know how to balance your diet and life so that you won’t gain back at weight in this golden period. In order to help you, here are the 10 tips that you can use to maintain your fitness level over the holidays.

Walking to The Shopping Mall. Shopping is an important activity which can not be skipped. But if you are creative enough, you can actually get a lot of exercise done in this process. For example, if you are driving a car to shopping mall, you can park your car 10 or more lots away so that you can walk to the entrance. If you are taking public transport, hop off a few stops early. This will let you complete the walking exercise.

Plan your time properly. Yes you might be too busy for exercise. But please try your best to allocate a time for exercise. In fact, exercise only takes you about 20-30 minutes. It won’t take you so much of time and it is very easy to arrange your timetable for it. For example, I always wake up 1 hour earlier during holiday season. I can use this extra 1 hour to exercise and burn extra calories. All you need to do is plan early so that everything is under your control.

Ask your Friends and Families to Exercise with you. How about organize a gathering in gym room this year? Just tell your friend that you are on the plan to lose weight and you would like to invite them to the local gym room to exercise. In fact, exercise is a good activities for them to and I am sure you all will have some fun in gym room this year.

Choose the right food. First, don’t make yourself hungry before a party. Second, choose the right food in party. You may eat some high calories food but don’t take it too much. Focus on colorful vegetables and fruits. Remember that cocktails pack calories too. If possible, replace your drinks with water or fruit juice which is healthier for your body.
