A Workout For People Who Do not Want To Work Out
There is good news for people who want to see their weight without giving up watching TV. Now there’s a new workout for couch potatoes and people who think they’re too busy to find time to keep in shape.
With time at a premium, many Americans are turning to creative forms of exercise. In a recent survey by Harris Interactive for the North American Spine Society, three out of four said they use the stairs instead of the elevator at work, 58 percent said they started their car parking distance, in parking and nearly half reported walking while on the phone.
At the same time, however, 46 percent of people described themselves as couch potato – an important factor that contributes to overweight. Many adults say they have delayed work to do other activities such as watching television, sleeping, doing housework or work.
About three in four adults say they would exercise more if you could include in their daily routine, however, and the majority of adults say they would exercise more often if they could do at home. Among noncouch potatoes, 80 percent would like to do more exercise, but say they do not have the time.
Meanwhile, more than 4 million Americans suffer from disk problems. One in four Americans over 30 will have recurring back pain, and one in 14 will seek medical care for back or neck pain this year, totaling almost 14 million visits per year. Back pain is the second most common reason that people visit a doctor. Back pain in the neck and result in more days lost than any other state. Due to absenteeism, medical and other related expenses, the cost of back injuries exceeding 80 billion U.S. dollars annually in the United States. Exercise is a way to avoid back problems.
That’s why it is important to find time to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. In addition to these things, like climbing stairs and parking farther away, there are a number of fun ways to make your day as possible to carry out the tasks of:
• Feet Alphabet. This exercise can be done wherever you are seated, except when driving. It should not be difficult to find a place. Simply write the alphabet in the air with your feet and ankles. You can make the letters in uppercase or lowercase, and, indeed, in every language you want. Putting two or three times on each ankle starts to strengthen the ankle and maintain or improve the bike.
• do the dishes Neck Circles. This exercise is done easily as you always entertaining task of washing dishes. As you stand there at the sink, slowly rotate your neck in a position in a clockwise direction, trying to extend the tip of the head as possible. After three or four rotations, repeat the exercise in a counter-clockwise position. Remember, these rotations must be done slowly and in a pain-free range of motion. In addition to increasing the flexibility of the neck, these exercises can spend time washing the dishes.
• Overhead Laundry Toss. Put it in the laundry basket directly in front of you and have a washing machine or dryer directly behind you. Grab a piece or two of dirty clothes, slowly reach over your head and drop the clothes in the washing machine. Again, start with dry clothes, then the progress of wet clothes from the washer / dryer.
• Lifts Remote wrist. This can be done on a Sunday afternoon watching the football games anymore. Simply take remote control (use the largest you from the pile of remote controls) and, as he sat watching your favorite team or movie and with the arm facing the TV, the objective of the remote toward the ceiling, moving pulse alone. Held there for 10 seconds, then the goal is to plan, once again only movement of the wrist. Repeat three or four times during each commercial. Be careful not to accidentally change the channel when you do this exercise or it may irritate people who are watching TV with you.
